Rev. Dr. Stefanie R. Minatee

The Rev. Dr. Stefanie R. Minatee is an Associate Minister of the Community Baptist Church of Englewood, NJ, where Rev. Dr. Lester W. Taylor, Jr. is the Senior Pastor.

Dr. Minatee holds a Doctor of Ministry Degree from United Theological Seminary, Dayton, Ohio, a Master of Theological Studies Degree from Drew University Theological Seminary, Madison, NJ, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Performance from Kean University, Union, NJ. Formally serving as a Vocal Music Educator for nearly 30 years in the Plainfield Public School District, Dr. Minatee retired July 1, 2012. She is currently a noted Performing Arts Education consultant.

Dr. Minatee enjoys sharing God’s word as a frequently requested preacher. When able, she also enjoys facilitating workshops, retreats, and seminars for Christian growth and renewal. She has a special affection for teens and the senior saints.

Dr. Minatee is a skilled and accomplished singer, composer, arranger and musician, with a passion for excellence in music ministry. As a noted Gospel Music Historian, she’s been blessed to work and record with several renowned sacred and secular music artists. Dr. Minatee is a sought-after vocal coach, composer, and vocal arranger, authoring and cataloguing more than 100 songs. She finds great joy in spreading the Gospel with her music ministry “Jubilation” serving as its Artistic Director since 1998. The ministry’s motto is "Transforming the World Through Education and Music Ministry, One Song at a Time..." This great musical aggregation is acclaimed both nationally and internationally including tours to Japan, Russia and Spain. Dr. Minatee has ministered in five of the seven continents of the world.

Dr. Minatee served as a former Professor at the New Brunswick Theological Seminary in 2014. She is currently a proud voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. (NARAS) Members of NARAS nominate and vote for the

GRAMMY Awards. Dr. Minatee has numerous television appearances to her credit. She has been featured in various periodicals including USA Today, PreachingWomen.com and the New Jersey Monthly Magazine.

Dr. Minatee released her book “Prophetic Music Ministry” in 2018 which highlights the origin and demands of effective music ministry. She also devotes a chapter to discuss her recovery of a debilitating stroke she suffered in April 2015. She is “still standing.”

In 2023 Rev. Stef and members of Jubilation appeared on The Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, DC with The Clark Sisters and musical director Ricky Minor in tribute to Queen Latifah and Opera Singer Renee Fleming.

Dr. Minatee stands on the shoulders of her ancestors, those elders who poured into her and made tremendous sacrifices. Though all listed below have transitioned, she remains steadfast, relying upon the strong qualities modeled and instilled in her. These influences include her maternal grandmother “Hattie Mollie Tucker” her mother, “Pearl Tucker Minatee” her uncle “Civil Rights leader Donald K. Tucker” and “Rev. Lawrence C. Roberts,” her mentor and dad in ministry. Dr. Minatee thanks GOD for EVERY opportunity, and lives by the motto “Only What You Do for Christ Will Last.” Her favorite slogan is “Hug Somebody", and Romans 8:28 is her favorite scripture. “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” To GOD be the glory for the things HE has done.
